Employee Spotlight: Zach Stucky – Growing With Maverick Since 2018

2/19/2026

Back to all Blogs

Every great company is built on great people, and at Maverick, few embody that truth more than Zach Stucky. Since joining the company in 2018, Zach has become a cornerstone of our culture - someone whose dedication, loyalty, and genuine passion for what we do have helped shape Maverick into the tight‑knit, high‑performing team it is today.

For Zach, Maverick isn’t just where he works. It’s where he belongs.

“To say it best, Maverick is my second family,” he shared - and anyone who has spent more than five minutes with him would agree that he means it. Maverick has always prided itself on fostering a culture built on trust, teamwork, and shared growth. Zach represents all of those values in action.

From the beginning, Zach found inspiration in the leaders who helped guide him - Tim Smith, Craig Kaser, and Dustin Harvey. “Having Tim, Craig, and Dustin to look up to as leaders and friends has made me incredibly proud of the team we've built and everything we’ve achieved,” he says. “Starting with Maverick shortly after it became a company was a blessing. It gave me opportunities I would not have had anywhere else.”

But for Zach, it wasn’t just about the opportunities - it's about the journey. Being part of Maverick from such an early stage allowed him to witness something truly special: a small, determined team evolving into what he calls “a refined mechanism of a company.”

Watching new employees join the team and develop into the “best of the best” is something he considers one of the most rewarding parts of his career. The pride in his voice when he talks about Maverick’s people speaks louder than any job description ever could. It’s a level of investment that can’t be taught - it comes from genuinely caring about the mission and the people who make it possible.

When asked what he's most passionate about in his personal life, Zach didn’t hesitate. His answer wasn’t about a hobby, a sport, or a place - it was Maverick.

“This team isn’t just a job,” he explains. “It’s late nights drinking beers with the team. It's phone calls at 10 PM helping each other out with whatever it might be, work related or not. It’s the excitement of getting to see our other branches and the people you don’t get to see often. I’m passionate about seeing the name and reputation we all worked so hard to build continue on.”

That sense of connection - of being part of something bigger than any one person - is woven into how Zach approaches his work every day. His commitment is part of what makes Maverick feel less like a workplace and more like a community.

Of course, Zach’s life isn’t all work. When he’s not investing his heart and energy into Maverick, you’ll most likely find him outdoors doing what he loves: waterfowl hunting, deer hunting, or spending quality time with his family and friends. These passions reflect the same values he brings to the team - patience, respect, focus, and the ability to appreciate the important things in life.

Almost eight years into his Maverick journey, Zach has seen the company evolve, grow, face challenges, and reach new milestones - and he’s grown right along with it. His story is one of loyalty, passion, and genuine belief in the mission and the people who make Maverick what it is.

Zach Stucky isn’t just an employee. He’s a vital part of Maverick’s identity, a culture‑carrier, and a shining example of what it means to be "all in."

We’re proud to celebrate Zach - not only for the incredible work he does, but for the impact he has on everyone who’s lucky enough to work beside him.
